After months of no posts I plan on blogging more often. I've got a ton to get off my chest and I just kept thinking about Doogie Houser and how he'd just let it all out, power down and hit the sack.

A lot has changed. I'm no longer in a relationship. I've settled into a new house in beautiful downtown Bethlehem. I've become comfortable enough at my new job that it's just about time for me to start worrying I'm going to be laid off. My hair's longer. But the big thing is my beard. And man do I love talking about my beard! Pictures to come! I promise.

Love/Hate.
I feel this way about a lot of things. In my head I make these crazy running lists which include pros and cons about many many things. With things most people would see as "good" I have little trouble finding cons. With the things people would tend to think are "bad" I have less trouble finding pros. It's weird. And I'm starting to wonder if my crazy blurred line between right and wrong is starting to leave my brain and come out in the things I say and do. I feel like maybe that started happening a long time ago... oh boy.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I really feel for this guy. He had a horrible childhood, a horrible father, he's not just on drugs he's going to die. The thing is though, somehow he just hasn't died?! He just keeps on livin'. I have had a weird feeling about Hogan over the past few years, that maybe he'll be the next big name to go... and now I'm sorta hoping for Jake Roberts to be the next. The guy has endured a lifetime of drug abuse, getting clean, finding god... whatever... the guy is just tortured. Here's his latest highlight... poor guy.

RESULTS ARE IN!

HERE THEY ARE!
Last night I went back to the doctors after waiting a few weeks following my bloodwork and stool sample collection. I wasn't that nervous, because in the weeks leading up to it I had been on the phone with them a few times about my co-pay, I had to reschedule a few times, yada yada and there was absolutely no concern on their part. Or so it seemed. And they did get the results a week or so before I went in.

Anyway -
Bloodwork - Showed nothing wrong. Nothing strange. All of my "levels" seemed normal.
Stool - No blood was found in my stool and they found typical levels of bacteria.

Basically -
They think it's IBS. But you can't just test for IBS, you have to test for everything else, then when those tests prove negative, you can diagnose IBS.

Next Steps -
I could go see a stomach specialist, get an ultrasound or something, all kinds of food allergy tests... but it'd all be overkill as far as I'm concerned. The doctor said because of my age she wouldn't really be too concerned that I have anything serious going on. Oh! And even if I went for all of those tests and they suspected IBS they'd put me on meds. I don't take meds. Medication is for the weak. I haven't spent the last 24 years training my body for the end of the world just so I'd have to rely on meds to regulate my bowel movements while I'm fighting off giant orges, zombie like outbreaks, and water shortages. Hear me?

Lesson Learned -
Dig networks of tunnels and trenches so when the giant orges come a trampling accross what used to be your favorite summer carnival spot, you can spring up and cut their achilles. Bring um down to your level. Those same trenches would also collect water.

LAWKI! LIFE AS WE KNOW IT! SUCH A GOOD SHOW! RIGHT?!

Anyway. For those of you wondering what I've been up to... Here it is. All in a blog post.

I changed jobs in May. I now work at the Morning Call in Allentown. I'm an Online Advertising Designer.

Thats me. At work. Hard. I look thin. And weak. Like any web designer should I guess. Screw labor!!! Right?!

I've been wearing my glasses because a few weeks ago my eyes shit the bed. Almost literally. I woke up and they were all red, bloodshot... not dry or anything though. They didn't really bother me. They just looked like hell. At first I thought it had something to do with the fact that I look at a computer monitor all day long, every day. And night. But, after further inspection from an eye doctor... I just had an allergic reaction to the solution I had bought. I guess I grabbed it quickly while shopping to support my nomad like lifestyle lately.

Which leads me to my next thing. I've been dipping my wolf paw in 3 ol' jam jars lately. If you know what I mean. What I mean is... I've been crashing at like 3 different places throughout the week. It sucks. Here's the rundown.

Mich's Apartment - I really like it there. Well, sorta. It's small and I'm always annoying her. And you can watch tv in the living room from any room in the house. If that makes sense?

My house - Which I've sold. I'm just waiting to close. That happens the 26th of September.

My parent's house - Which just sucks. It's hot (no AC). It's my sister's room. It's hot. Bleh.

BUT! DING DING DING! I have some good news!

I made an offer on a house in Bethlehem (West Side). And they accepted! So I close on that the 29th! That'll be soooo nice. Finally a place to call "home". I miss my sofa and cable tv. I don't know what to do with myself on a Sunday. I have no place to lounge and watch hour after hour of The Girls Next Door on E! It's happened to you.

Here's the house.

Halloween is coming up. And I think, now, don't go crazy here... I'm either going to go with Psicosis, OR Hawk from Legion of Doom. It all depends on whether Lore guts it out and does Animal.

Hawk would require me to shave my head. Which I think I might be ready for. My head of hair just ain't what it used to be. Any 25 year old feels me on that... right?

I'm tired of people talking about everything. Like they've got it all covered. Chill out.

Georgia Bigfoot

What's awesome is how far these guys have gotten with this story.

They claimed to have found a Bigfoot body in the woods of Georgia, put it in a freezer, froze it, then the freezer broke, it thawed out, they called the "Real Bigfoot Hunter" Tom Biscardi, Tom Biscardi made it all the way onto Fox News. CNN is covering the story here. It's awesome. I did some digging. Here's a video of the two guys on YouTube.

It's great. The only way this could get better is if it was actually an elaborate marketing campaign for a new J.J. Abrams movie.

Review - More-Thing.com Super Slim Case for iPhone 3G.

In the back of my head I've always sorta thought - "You really should get some kind of case to protect your new iPhone 3G"... so when I kept seeing the slickly designed (well, better than most) banners for more-thing.com it snagged my interest. So I clicked, ended up on their site, looked around and found myself leaning towards the Super Slim Case they were offering. Here's my review:

The GOOD -
The case was $15, plus shipping.
It arrived in about a week (from Hong Kong).
It is slimmer than any iPhone 3G case I've seen with my own eyes.
It comes in many attractive colors.
The texture is pretty nice.
It grips well to surfaces.

The BAD -
The shipping was about $10.
I had to sign for it (from Hong Kong).
It's slimmer but of course you then compromise protection from drops, falls, etc.
The material collects fuzzes, hairs, and some dust pretty easily.
They grip makes it a bit harder to get in and out of my pocket.
Doesn't work with Apple iPhone 3G dock.

The Skinny (get it)-
If you don't want a brick of a phone in your pocket, this is the case for you. It's way slim yet still feels like it's protecting your iPhone 3G from scratches and small bumps. The Cloud Color keeps my white iPhone 3G looking white. It's barely there. I'm a bit worried about the material getting softer as I jam it in my pocket... causing it to become loose on the phone... but... I'll have to wait and see. I think it was a good buy over-all.

4/5 On the yet to be named rating scale.
In other words - "Not Stupid." Buy this case.

Jay Craps in a Cup 2008.

So I've had stomach issues for the past 4 years (maybe more)... and Mich finally convinced me to go get checked out by a doctor. So I went. They asked me a few questions about my diet, my appetite, ya know, my eating habits in general. Nothing really stood out to them. So they suggested I go for some bloodwork and that maybe they analyze a stool sample. In doing this they should be able to determine what it is that's going on, maybe some trigger foods like dairy that I should avoid, stuff like that.

Now... Honestly, I'm not too afraid of something being wrong with me. The worst case scenario would be I have things that lead them to believe I have colon cancer. And I've lived this way for at least 4 years, it's not so bad. It's forced me to make a few changes in my life, none too major. Nothing ever realllllly hurts. There's never any blood in my poooz. I thinking they'll probably just tell me that I should avoid dairy and eat more protein. Maybe go back to eating meat here and there... whatever. Basically I'm cool with whatever they tell me. What's interesting, to me, and probably to you is HOW THIS WHOLE STOOL SAMPLE THING WORKS?!

Which is why, I am announcing today that Jay Craps in a Cup 2008 will be DOCUMENTED LIVE, very close or AS IT HAPPENS right here on this very blog! How'd I get this idea? Well the few people at work who know about me going to the doc for this pooo-issue have laughingly said "you can blog about that now." And I want to extend a personal thank you to those who planted the seed.

So, let the magic begin... the first ever (probably not) live (delayed a few hours) coverage of one man's (and maybe his girlfriend if she backs this idea) journey through hell and back. Then back to hell, but then back again. A man destined to know what lies inside his very own poooz. A test of patience, strength, wit, ingenuity, and most importantly of all... PRECISION. Someone commented on my blog! And no, Big Guy, I didn't write the comment myself just so I could come up with some crap-tastic response. Make me sound all "..." - I don't even know. NOW, I don't know who the person was, but they weren't 100% comfortable with me posting that video of Paris and poking fun. Now, I've been updating my Facebook status with hopes that my friends start reading my blog. I also posted the Tumbler story on the LV Board and I'm sure I got a few visits from them. But come on! Who are you? Why would you leave an anonymous comment?! How am I to respond?!
I'm excited that there's a small possibility that someone randomly searched out my blog, read my stuff and then took the time to leave a comment.

So for those of you who don't know. Paris Hilton was mentioned in a John McCain Ad. Basically the ad's narrator pinned Obama as a celebrity, among the likes of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. Bashing both Obama (I guess?) and Hilton and Spears. Turns out Hilton donated something like $400bajillion to help McCain with his campaigning. Well Paris has responded and boy is she pissed. And boy is it stupid.

Best Free iPhone App - Entertainment

Pandora. Hands down.

Let's say you're driving around. And you've arrived in 2003 in that you have your ipod/iphone bumping tunes into your cars stereo. Somehow. Anyhow. With me so far?

Now lets listen to some T.I. Yeh, the rapper. Let's do it. Or how bout The Marked Men! Got that?

What about that Pineapple Express song. The one in the commercial?! Well go ahead and search Pandora. Not only will it likely find your song/artist/album but it'll create a playlist with similar artists. Leaving you to the important stuff - like driving.

Most of this is nothing new to Pandora.com users. But the fact that this works both on the Edge Network and of course on 3G is just awesome. I've had no stopping of songs. Maybe one or two delays when I tried to advance to the next track (but I pounded that button over and over).

It's so easy. I didn't even have to review it. Just get it.

Best Free iPhone App - Games

So far, the best iPhone App Game goes to Jawbreaker.

It's stupid easy. Like way easy. And, here's the best part... It's free.

All you do is decide which groups of balls you want to eliminate. In order for them to be up for elimination two balls minimum of the same color much be touching. The larger the chain of touching balls the more points you get when you choose to eliminate them. When a chunk is eliminated the surrounding balls fall appropriately making new chains up for elimination. I guess the goal is to eliminate all of the balls, which I've only done once in about 50+ games. But it doesn't matter. You get sucked in. You start counting balls, knowing when to eliminate certain chains to build larger chains. You start seeing good moves and hoping you don't make a bad one. There's no prize at the end. Just a try again. Which you'll do. Over and over and over and over and over. Check it out.

A close second goes to Labyrinth Lite Edition. Great game. Reason for it being second - it just takes too much concentration, patience, and some time. Not an easy read.

PS - Apple has a good thing going with these Apps. But where's the Garmin App? Or the TomTom App that's rumored to be working on an iPhone already.

Bethlehem's Musikfest

Bethlehem's Musikfest started this past Friday. Nothing like loads of people and $3 bottled water! I'm not really into the genre's of music that tend to "pack the tents", but I do enjoy - walking around with friends, seeing people I haven't seen in years, and getting tons of free stuff. This year some of the sponsors include - Burts Bees, Nintendo Wii (where they demo the Wii Fit), Shell gasoline, Heineken, yada yada yada. All of the local sponsors are still there, of course. Lehigh Valley Hospital is giving out band-aids. WZZO lets you throw a washer in a box to win various buttons and posters. There's more than one tent passing out toothpaste. Mich and I have toothpaste to last us into the winter season I think. And now that I'm working at The Morning Call I'm pretty impressed with their placement of a webcam on Main St. for those of us who have jobs but still want to check out how busy/crowded it gets. Check it out here. But we all know what fuels Musikfest. THE CORN. And not just any corn. Corn "Aw-Shucks" style. It's the best. 7 Tickets ( $3.50) gets you an ear of corn coated in Aw-Shucks spice, butter and parmesan cheese. And you can buy the spice online! Get on it.
